IFMA Orange County 2018-2019 Board of Directors
Christine Mueller is Vice President and Director of Office Services Operations for The Capital Group, based in Irvine. She has over 18 years of experience in the facilities industry. Christine oversees all Office Services, facilities and property management responsibilities for Capital’s Irvine, CA, Norfolk, VA, Carmel, IN and San Antonio, TX locations, as well as Capital’s worldwide DataCenter located in Schertz, TX. Christine is also a member of Capital’s Security Coordinating Group, that manages all aspects of physical security and workplace violence prevention for Capital’s offices globally.
Christine has been a member of IFMA for 11 years and is currently serving as the President of the Orange County Chapter. She holds the Facilities Management Administrator designation with the Building Owners and Managers Association. She is also a LEED, Accredited Profession in Operations & Maintenance for Existing Buildings, accredited by the United States Green Building Council. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from California State University, Fullerton.
Christine lives in Yorba Linda with her husband, Michael, son Samuel (age 17) and daughter Madelyn (age 13). She volunteers with the Girl Scouts of Orange County and the Men’s Basketball Booster Club at Yorba Linda High School. Christine is an active member of Friends Community Church in Brea.
Trish graduated from San Diego State University with a degree in Environmental Design and has worked continually in contract interior design and architecture since that year long ago. Trish founded Archetype International in 1987, by providing space planning services for multi-tenant properties. Husband and architect John Secor joined the firm later in 1987. Together they have enjoyed building a business and working with many IFMA members on their projects such as Richard Nixon Presidential Library, Whittier Law School and Parker Hannifin. An OC Chapter member since 1995, Trish earned her CFM in 1996, served as President in 2004-05, and was fortunate to represent Orange County by garnering the Chapter’s IFMA International Newsletter award in 1996 & 1998. Trish has been a presenter at World Workplace and Chapter meetings and encourages others to take full advantage of the rich opportunities and friendships IFMA has to offer.
Trish is a part time faculty member at Orange Coast College/ Interior Design department and recently completed a master’s degree in Educational Technology at Cal State Fullerton. A grateful recipient of the San Diego chapter’s IFMA Foundation scholarship, she is dedicated to introducing her students to the opportunities available in FM for the next generation of professionals.
A native of Atlanta, Georgia, Trish “grew up” in a picturesque small Erie Canal town in Upstate NY. She moved to North Tustin at the end of high school where she met her sweetheart, John. After fruitfully experiencing all the richness of parenthood, the unsupervised couple now shares their home with a large wily whippet and sometimes the whippet grand-dog.
Heather Gantner is a born and raised Southern California girl. She attended the University of Southern California and graduated with a degree in Business with an emphasis in Marketing and Advertising. She works for Carrier Corporation as an Account Executive in the Orange County area and has been in the HVAC business for 12 years.
Heather has been married to her supportive stay at home husband, Steven, for 11 years and they have three children: Kylie (7), Nathan (5) and Bradley (4). When she is not working, hanging out with family and friends or volunteering with IFMA, she enjoys spin classes, running, reading, snowboarding and traveling. The last two are starting to become a reality again now that the kids are older!
Sue has been actively involved with IFMA for several years, helping with membership, hospitality, programs and serving on the Board. Her career highlights include over fifteen years of success with Patcraft Commercial Flooring, specifying and providing flooring to architects, designers, end users and flooring dealers in Southern California. When she is not working, Sue enjoys tennis, bootcamp and spending time with her husband, Glenn and their fur baby, Presley.
Michael Edward Morris has been a member of IFMA off and on for the last 18 years, starting in the Los Angeles Chapter. He received a BS in Architecture and MBA from the University of Southern California.
Michael is currently employed by AT&T as an Area Manager in their Corporate Real Estate group. His team manages the capital improvements for all company owned and leased (non-cellular properties) in Orange County, San Diego County, San Bernardino and Riverside Counties as well as Arizona and New Mexico. Last year, his budget exceeded $25,000,000.
Michael's public service life started at an early age. At 20, he was elected for an unexpired term on the Compton Unified School District Board of Trustees, making him the youngest elected official in California. He served as a trustee for 10 years. Over the years he has been involved in several community organizations. He is a member of the Park Hills Community Church, RCA in Los Angeles. He has served as Deacon and Elder and is currently the Technical Services Advisor and on the Administrative Team.
Michael is married to Gay Kersey Morris, a retired teacher and Urban Planner, and has two children, Michael L. and Melanie. Michael's hobbies are golf, photography and music.
Mike Lasher is an association executive with over 25 years experience in non-profit management. Through his affiliation with the association management firm Gayle Stewart Enterprises, Inc., he currently serves as Chapter Administrator for IFMA Orange County. He is also the Chapter Administrator for Meeting Professionals International, Orange County Chapter (MPIOC), which serves the local meetings and events industry.
Mike began his association management career with Gayle Stewart Enterprises (GSE, Inc.), an association management firm located in Tustin, California, where he aided non-profit professional and trade organizations since 1991. He has served as chief staff executive for chapters of the National Speakers Association (NSA), Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), Christi an Businessmen's Committee (CBMC), the Association of Pool & Spa Professionals (APSP), and independent organizations including the Orange County Employee Benefit Council (OCEBC), Escrow Institute of California (EIC), Life Science Industry Council (LINC) and the Southern California Association of Civil Engineers / Land Surveyors (SCACELS). He was also the Chief Staff Executive for the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) of Orange County - an organization representing the office & commercial real estate industry; the Tech Coast Venture Network (TCVN) - an Orange County based association of early stage startup and growing high tech firms and investors, and the Network Professional Association (NPA), an international organization serving network computing professionals.
In the for-profit sector, Mr. Lasher has served as Academic Programs Director for Esthetic Professionals, a privately held dental learning and continuing education center & clinic for licensed dentists in Tarzana, California, known worldwide for its contemporary esthetic dentistry residency program.
He is a 1999 graduate of the Institute for Organization Management and received his Certified Association Executive (CAE) designation from the American Society of Association Executives in 1999.
Mr. Lasher has served in leadership volunteer roles as Vice President of Membership for the former Southern California Society of Association Executives (SCSAE) and as a Board member. He also served on the Western Board of Regents for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce's Institute for Organization Management.
Mike resides in Simi Valley, California with his wife Carol and their two adult children. In his leisure time he plays electric guitar, enjoys smoked barbecuing, and he and his wife occasionally enjoy hikes through the beautiful hills of Ventura County and Santa Monica Mountains. He is grateful for the opportunity to serve IFMA Orange County Members and is here to help the organization and its leadership succeed and grow to new heights.
