Organizations that value facilities design that support these activities are able to improve their innovation efforts.  Because of  current remote workers, preserving innovation is a priority to leadership teams in 2021.

Let’s explore the growing evidence that supports how facilities managers and design can cultivate the creativity necessary to spark innovation.

  • Review the 3 neural networks most important to creative cognition.
  • Describe the key workplace design strategies that foster creative rhythm.
  • Learn to reference facility design strategies that may be used for individual or group activities.

Speaker - Beck Johnson:

With nearly 20 years of experience in social science research, she conducts original and secondary research at the intersection of organizational performance workplace facilities and human performance.  Beck explores a larger range of cognition and behavior important in knowledge work. Her goal is to build knowledge with empirical evidence leading to solutions for facility workplace issues and to provide credible communication to clients. Her latest projects span the disciplines of neurobiology of information processing and emotion, cognitive and organizational psychology, neuroscience in architecture, creative cognition and behaviors, and social cognition.

Prior to Haworth, Beck was an Assistant Professor of Communication at Hope College specializing in social science research methodologies, interpersonal communication, persuasion, and health communication.
